The Red Broadway Crawler
On Friday, September 27th, 1985, I was crawling on Broadway N.Y.C. on hands and knees, from South Ferry to 155th Street (The Museum of the American Indian). When the project was performed, Hurricane Gloria hit New York City with a five-hour downpour. By the time I reached Harlem many bystanders followed the procession. The 12-mile crawl was completed in 7 hours 20 minutes.
